Stainless Steel Mouse Pads

Would anyone be interested in purchasing a stainless steel gaming surface? My friend has a bunch of large and extra large mousepads that he made. They work great with optical mice, even for gaming. In fact, I use one, I'll add a picture later.

As for prices and measurements, I'll have to edit this post at a later time because I don't recall off the top of my head (It's 5:13am right now). If you guys are interested, leave a comment, and maybe I'll give out some contact info so we can set something up. :)

Additonally, I need to find another game (maybe an F2P RPG?) to play. Getting kind of burnt out on melee/ladder SC2, and there aren't very many good customs yet. Maybe I'll get back into playing DOTA, even though I'll probably be the only one playing that. :(

EDIT:  The mouse pad I have is 12" by 10", approximately the size of a Steelpad 4D (My previous mousepad), but technically has more surface area since it's rectangular in shape. The larger one is around 14" x 12". The attached picture shows a Logitech MX518 for size comparison. The actual texture of the mousepad feels smooth to the touch, but upon closer inspection almost looks like stucco so that optical mice have lots of unique patterns to track. Because of these unique patterns (as opposed to lots of small bumps) I have never encountered stuttering while using this mousepad even with fast twitch movements like I did with my 4D.

If noise is a concern of yours, I find that this pad is no more noisy than any other hard gaming surface. Hopefully some of you might be interested. Feel free to comment if you have any questions or want to buy one. Maybe we'll be able to start a business!

  4. A friend of mine has something similar. I think it feels weird but I guess for gamers it's good?

  6. Interesting idea, I already have a pretty nice hard rubber/plastic mouse pad that I like quite a bit.
